Director / Producer - Zachary L. Barrett

Zach began from a background of community stage performance. At the age of 9 he participated in local community theatre classes and discovered acting. Once 15 Zach began expanding his skill base beyond acting and began study and practice in Technical Theatre. He eventually became head of the student Technical Theatre department until his graduation where he then finally turned his head towards directing with the short one act called Haiku with which he won best play of 2009 at a local play festival. After studying stage acting in college he returned to directing with two short films, Steve and Derek: Puppy Love and a 48 hr film festival short Where Are You winning best film. He is currently studying filmmaking in the Red deer College Motion Picture Arts Program. Zach’s most recent directing include the short film Undeserving and a promotional video for a film currently in Pre-Production, Duality.
Director of Photography - Amanda Trimble

With racing in her blood and technical theatre under her belt, Amanda Trimble went for it and started training for the film industry. As a budding cinematographer, Amanda spends her days fiddling with the cameras and her nights writing scripts to shoot. She spends her summers racing at any IHRA or NHRA track her and her father can make it. But while she’s been in school she has been the Director of Photography on many projects, including: Demon in a Bottle, The C-Virus, Duality, and Undeserving. All of the opportunities she has had have shaped her into the person she is today.
Writer / Composer - Patrick Murphy

Patrick Thomas Murphy was born on April 30th, 1988 in Bonnyville, AB, the same place where he was introduced to the magic of film. Growing up, he always loved watching films, but never thought of working in film until high school. After attending Red Deer College’s ‘Teen Video Intensive’ summer course, he was hooked, and completed Grant MacEwan’s Theatre Arts program in order to attend Red Deer College’s ‘Motion Picture Arts’ program. Now completed his 3rd Year in the MPA Acting Stream, he has worked on such films as, ‘Duality’, ‘Here Comes Goodbye’, and ‘Cause of Death.’ He is very excited to see what challenges and opportunities lay ahead in his 4th year and beyond…
First Assistant Director - Salvatore Ferrara

Salvatore Andrea Ferrara was born and raised in the old “hollywood north” of Toronto, Ontario. Sal only did theatre for most of his life but had dreams of doing film ever since he saw “the Godfather”. when he came out to Alberta it was only for work, but he enjoyed being there so much he decided to apply for school especially after a rough time at the university of Toronto for arts management. Sal went to Grant MacEwan for Theatre Arts where he found an appreciation for dance and Keyano College in Fort McMurray for visual performance where he met Director Zachary Barrett. Zach introduced Sal to an opportunity to fulfill the film dream with Red Deer college where he is currently completing his 3rd year of the Motion picture Arts acting stream and is pumped to see what challenges lie ahead of him.
Art Director / Photographer - Jennifer Devine

Jennifer Devine graced the world with her presence in 1990 when she left the womb to spend the next 19 years of her life in Red Deer Alberta, Canada. From a young age Jennifer explored her interest in the arts through music, drawing, and taking pictures. It wasn’t until she got her first cell phone that her interest in filming began.. If a title had to be given, Jennifer is a self proclaimed multimedia visual artist. Her academic journey began at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Calgary Alberta, where she earned an honours diploma in New Media Production and Design (NMPD) . In this program she learned 3D design, Web Development & design, Graphic Design, Video and Photography, Motion Graph-ics, and Flash animation. This has given her an edge in the industry in terms of her diversity in applicable technical skills. After conquering SAIT, Jennifer continued her knowledge quest to Red Deer College (RDC), Red Deer Alberta, to get a degree in Motion Picture Arts (MPA). Here she is focusing solely on developing her understanding of film and the film industry. Because Jennifer can’t pick just one thing to focus on, she is currently concentrating on documentary and commercial work while doing still photography, digital design, and painting on the side.
Sound Recordist - Shane Lewiski
Shane was born in Lac la Biche, Alberta on a gloomy September evening in 1989. He grew up on a farm and had little drama experience until grade 8 when he thought that acting would get him all the drama chicks. Unfortunately drama didn’t get him any play and instead he fell in love with the theatre and eventually went on to star in One act plays through out high school. Once at Red Deer college he found his niche in technical theatre and eventually into the film program.
Camera Operator - Jeff Quirk

Jeff Quirk was born in Edmonton Alberta. At the age of 20, he moved to Red Deer to study Technical Theatre Production at RDC where he developed a passion for lighting, sound design and stage carpentry. He worked on several theatre productions from 2009-2011, including Beauty and The Beast, Wuthering Heights, Rent, and The Ghost Sonata. He is currently completing his third year in the Motion Picture Arts program, where he has developed a passion for Cinematography. His latest projects have included several short student films, such as Apart, and Cause of Death. Jeff is continuing to grow within the Alberta film industry, as he begins his fourth and final year in the Motion Picture Arts program.
Colorist / Visual Effect Supervisor / Anamorphic Consultant - Jason "JD" Buzz

Born and raised in Edmonton - passion for film surfaced at a very young age. I’ve been shooting films since he was five, editing on my own sing the age of seven, and writing screenplays since eleven. At age 16 I wrote, produced, directed, and photographed my very first feature film, with a run time of two hours and twenty minutes. In 2010 I founded my very own film company ‘Century Arc Entertainment Ltd.’. September of 2011 I won the awards for Best Director and Best Editor in the Edmonton International Film Festival’s 24/One competition. In addition to live action motion photography I am also a skilled 3D animator, photographer, as well as graphic designer. In 2012 I was honored by being appointed as one of the founding members of the JFF: Joint Film Force.
Editor - Patrick Auchstaetter
Hailing from the mysterious and exotic lands to the east – Saskatchewan, Patrick always knew he wanted to work in the arts. He has been writing and drawing for as long as he can remember, and fell in love with stage acting from his first bit role in community theatre at the age of five. Upon reaching high school, Patrick realized that film would allow him to work in an amalgamation of all things artistic, and decided that was the perfect career for him. Throughout school, he continued to act in drama and improv, while making short films with friends. After graduation, Patrick attended SIAST Woodland Campus in Prince Albert. There, he received a Diploma in Media Arts Production while honing his technical skills in camera operation and editing software. One of the films he wrote and directed at SIAST, The History of Fort Battleford, would go on to win “Best Film – Judge's Choice” at the 2011 Battleford's Flick Fest. Now working on a degree in Motion Picture Arts Production at Red Deer College, Patrick continues to pursue his love of film. He has edited two short films this year, Out of Body and Duality.
